The Door of Fear

Well it is kinda interesting working on the door of fear, to work on one side is to also be in touch with the other side.  When you say it is a door you can't help but wonder what is on the other side.  I think I have come up with a few ideas.  Here is one that I thought of doing in jest.

I like how this piece is turning out.
The snake stitching is fabulous and I love the color of the scorpion. How big is this piece? It looks big.

Thank you, Ancient Cloth,
I still need to give the snake and eye...and I need to find a creative way to get the wrinkles out...I have thought of one or two, but if anyone has a thought I would enjoy brainstorming around it.

The door is 5 1/2 by 3 3/4. Not to big.

could you tack it invisibly to another backing, stretching and flattening as you go?
This turned out FABU!

That is a very good suggestion Arlee, I hadn't thought of that. Maybe just for fun I will make a tutorial on what I do ...just in case it works. Or, just in case it doesn't work you will know what not to do. But if it doesn't work then I think this would be a good plan B. Or even to be used on some areas but not all.
